Tell us your experience for Spotlight on Virtual Mental Health Care

Call to Mind is producing Spotlight on Virtual Mental Health Care, a program about virtual mental health care and the pandemic. We want you to help us understand what it was like to try to get, use and even deliver care over your computers or phones since last spring. We are hoping to amplify the experiences of both seekers and providers of mental health care in our upcoming program. Submission deadline extended to July 19th!

To send us your experience: Using your mobile device or computer, record a voice memo with the following information (if recording using a smartphone, please use earbuds or hold the phone up to your ear as you would on a regular phone call):

  1. Name ("My name is...")

  2. Location (city, state)

  3. Care role or description of involvement with mental health system. Please include as many personal identifiers as you would like. (e.g. I had my first mental health crisis during the pandemic... I've been treated for major depression xx years... I'm a licensed clinical social worker... etc.)

  4. Let us know if you would like to remain anonymous in our program.

  5. Describe your experience receiving or delivering mental health care virtually during the pandemic.

  6. How have virtual tools changed the care you receive or provide?

By July 19th, email your voice memo file to calltomind@americanpublicmedia.org with the subject line "Spotlight Voice Memo — [name, location]." 30 to 60 seconds is perfect!

You're welcome to submit multiple memos from both perspectives — patient and provider — but please submit them in separate emails and record your identification information in each recording. Our producers may follow up with you about your recording.

Thanks for being a part of our Spotlight Series!
